Where is Sol y Mar?

Sol y Mar is a private VILLA on 1000sq ft of gardens with private pool . It has 2 bed rooms that sleeps 5 people with air conditioning in every room. The villa is in an exclusive estate with off street parking, located in one of the most beautiful places on the Andalusian coast in a town called NERJA.

It is on the Costa del Sol that is located between the small natural coves surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape. The nearest airport is Malaga which is only 45 mins drive away and around 1 hour and a half drive from Granada.

Villa Sol y Mar has 2 bedrooms that sleeps 5 people and is 2 minutes drive to the famous Burrriana beach (or 10 mins walk downhill) where there is plenty of restaurants and water sporting activities to try. There are play areas on the beach for children to take a break from being in the water, also one can play beach volleyball too. There are a wide selection of water sports activities to choose from like paddle boarding, kayaking , jetski rental, banana boat and parasailing.

Sol y Mar is only 20 minutes walk to the town centre and the world famous “Balcon de Europa”. Along the way there is a wide selection of restaurants and tapa bars to choose from as you make your way there. The Balcón de Europa is a promenade completely pedestrianised, as are the adjoining streets (calle Puerta del Mar, calle Pintada, calle Cristo and calle Carabeo) and it is lined with cafés, restaurants and ice cream parlours. In the summer months it is a hive of activity and during different times of the year it is also the location for various concerts and ‘fiestas’ throughout the year.

The famous Nerja caves is 6 mins drive away. It has the largest stalagmite in the world. Stretching for almost 5-kilometres the Nerja Caves are a series of underground caverns. Well worth a visit. 

About Nerja

Nerja is a resort town along southern Spain’s Costa del Sol. The centre of Nerja town is called  Balcón de Europa which is a promenade lined with palms and plane trees, flanked on the left by lovely arches, and on the right by hotels, bars and restaurants, ends at a semi-circular viewpoint on the cliff-top, commanding magnificent views over the Mediterranean and the surrounding mountains.

At the opposite end, turning left, is a square containing the church of El Salvador, where many a wedding takes place and you can spend a lovely afternoon admiring all the outfits of the wedding party. There are pleany of restaurants and bars to sit and watch the world go by. At night you can have your portrait done or watch a live flamenco dancing Nerja, however, has not only conserved its original structure, but all new constructions have been adapted to the traditional Andalucian style of whitewashed houses, windows with grills, terracotta tiled roofs, etc.

Cueva de Nerja, a nearby cavern with unusual stalactites and stalagmites, hosts popular summertime concerts. It’s also known for its paleolithic paintings, viewable by guided tour.

There are 2 golf courses near Nerja. Baviers Golf , Caleta de Velez only 20 minutes drive away and Anoreta Golf, Rincon de la Victoria  which is 30 minutes drive away.

Nerja offers you a large number of spaces where you can enjoy beautiful hiking trails or ride a Jeep for a day while visiting the most beautiful places in the mountains of Nerja.
